Letter with this Census states
'2. There is no permanent native camp on this station, amd Mr Eric Coulthard the Manager, informed
that employment was of a casual nature only owing to the influence of the drought.
3. At the time of the visit only four natives on holiday from stations in South Australia were
living at Umbeara. Bothe the adult men were employed as casual stockmen at $3.3.3 a week.
4. Mr Coulthard informed me that if he requires native labour he can obtain it
readily from Kulgera.'
