General Comments
Mentions part-aboriginal girls Ethel and Zona Braeden.
At the time of inspection Ethel was at Angas Downs with her sister Mrs A Liddle.
Zona was with her mother, Tungo F/B, at Henbury Station.
Ethel had no desire to live permanently in Alice Springs with Bob Buck, and
had a good job at Henbury to which she would be returning in the near future.
Zona is very shy and any attempt to interview her would be futile. It seems
that she will remain at either Henbury or Angas Downs and has no desire to
live in Alice Springs.
At Angas Downs Ethel and Zona live at the homestead with the Liddles.
At Henbury they live with the Swan family.
Births
Maureen, a part-aboriginal female child was born at the station on 9. 7.1953 and
the birth was registered. Her mother was full blood Rosie Purula and her father
was part-Aborigine (half-caste) Stormy Campbell. This family is now resident
at Tempe Downs Station.
